Studio Guidelines and Fees

Please wear comfortable clothes to your lessons. Your whole body is your instrument!

My studio is open from September-July with the occasional break for touring or vacation. I teach Mondays through Thursdays, 11am-8pm.

Please be on time. If you are going to be more than 5 minutes late, please call ahead. 24 hours notice is required if you must cancel your lesson. To be fair to all, you will be charged for missed lessons without the proper notice. If you are sick or there is an emergency, we can try to reschedule, but if we cannot find an agreed upon time to make it up, sadly, I will have to charge for the missed lesson. There are occasions when I may have performance, touring or personal commitments of my own and will ensure that you are notified at least 24 hours in advance if I need to cancel or reschedule with you.

For adults, your initial visit is 90 minutes long at a cost of $150.00, and payable in cash.  Adult lessons are usually 60 minutes in length, unless otherwise arranged. Children’s lessons are typically 30 minutes and teen’s lessons are 45 minutes in length. My teaching fee is $100/hour. For longer term study, an email transfer for 4 (adult) or 8 (children and youth) lessons in advance is the standard arrangement. Please speak with me if you wish to make special arrangements.

Singing involves a great deal of spray and vapour! Because covid has become endemic, lessons and coachings are once again being offered in-person in my home studio in Toronto. Students and artists are asked to self-check for symptoms of covid or any other virus/flu/cold and cancel if necessary. If you are unsure, just call or email and we can discuss it. I do stay abreast of the covid numbers and if there is an uptick during cold season, I will be wearing a 95% effective mask so that you don’t have to while you are singing. There is a professional level air purifier in the studio which I run, regardless.

Do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns.

I look forward to working with you!
